Switching from Same-Day Local Delivery

The same delivery. None of the portal.

The new Trexity app was rebuilt so everything happens inside Shopify Admin. Your account, locations, history, and billing all carry over. Here's exactly what changes, and how to switch safely.

Three things change for the better.

Everything else stays the same. Same couriers, same per-delivery pricing, same Trexity account.

Before
Log in and out of the Trexity Merchant Portal to schedule a pickup or check a delivery.

You stop leaving Shopify

Setup, deliveries, analytics, and settings all live inside Shopify Admin.

Before
Every shipment sat as a draft in the Portal until you manually scheduled it.

Deliveries schedule themselves

The app picks batch or just-in-time from your prep time and dispatches automatically. You can still override any order.

Before
Any action dropped you into a separate portal in a new tab.

Everything on the order page

A Trexity panel on every order shows live status with Print label, Cancel, Put on hold, and Skip batching.

The biggest change: deliveries that schedule themselves.

The old app left every shipment as a draft for you to schedule by hand. The new app connects batch and just-in-time straight to your Shopify orders, so pickups happen on their own.

Just-in-time scheduling

Prepare orders as they arrive? Each paid order automatically schedules a courier for now plus your prep time, so there's no clicking and no watching the clock.

Auto-batching

Prepare everything for one daily run? Orders quietly queue and roll into your next scheduled pickup, so a courier grabs the whole batch at once.

Old app vs new app.

Switching, the safe way.

You don't lose anything. Deliveries already in flight finish normally, even after you uninstall the old app. You control when the switchover happens.

1

Install the new Trexity app

Add it from the Shopify App Store, or click the migration prompt inside the old app.

2

Complete the six-step setup

If we detect your existing Trexity account, you confirm with a 4-digit code emailed to it, no password. Locations, billing, and settings carry over.

3

Run a delivery test

On the review step, preview exactly what customers see at checkout for a real address, without placing an order.

4

Go live

That registers Trexity as your Shopify carrier and opens your dashboard. You choose the moment.

5

Uninstall Same-Day Local Delivery

Remove the old app. Orders already in flight keep flowing, they're Trexity shipments and don't depend on the old app being installed.

One thing to watch: the new app registers checkout as "Local Delivery - Trexity". If you ever see two Trexity rates side by side, remove the old carrier service from Shopify's shipping settings.

Common questions

Will my customers see any downtime at checkout?

No. The new app registers the carrier service as part of setup, before you go live. You control when the switchover happens.

Do I have to change my Shopify plan?

No. The new app needs the same Shopify plan the old one did (Grow or higher) to show live rates at checkout. If you were already offering Trexity at checkout, you're fine.

Does pricing change?

No. Delivery pricing is the same per-delivery rate based on distance and service level. There's no new subscription or monthly fee, and your billing card carries over.

What happens to shipments already in progress?

Nothing. Those deliveries are Trexity shipments and finish normally even after you uninstall the old app.

Will my old-app deliveries show in the new analytics dashboard?

The delivery-side numbers (count, average time, Trexity cost) do, since they come from your shared Trexity account. The Shopify-side tiles only fill in for orders the new app processed, so the view reads correctly end-to-end within about three months of switching.

Can I go back?

Yes, for now. You can reinstall the old app and your Trexity account and history won't change. We do plan to retire the old app eventually, so switching when it's convenient is best. If something is blocking your team, email us, we'd rather fix it.

Ready to switch?

Install the new app, run a delivery test, and go live when it suits you. We'll help you switch over during business hours.
