Welcome — this article gives you the lay of the land so the rest of setup makes sense.
What Trexity is
Trexity connects your Shopify store to a local courier network. Once installed, you can offer Trexity delivery as a shipping option at checkout, fulfill orders to Trexity automatically, print delivery labels, and track shipments — all from inside Shopify Admin.
You don’t sign in anywhere else. There’s no separate Trexity portal to bookmark.
What happens during install
When you install the app, setup opens automatically:
- We try to find an existing Trexity account that matches your store. We check your shop domain, owner email, and each location’s address. If we find one, you confirm with a 4-digit code emailed to that account — no password.
- If we don’t find a match, you’ll see a short form to create a new Trexity account. Most of it is pre-filled from Shopify; you pick an industry and click create.
- If your pickup address isn’t in a Trexity service area yet, we tell you instead of letting you complete a setup you can’t use.
The six-step setup checklist
After your account is connected, you’ll see one page with six tasks. Each task saves on its own and the next one auto-expands.
- Contact — the email and phone number we’ll use for service issues. Pre-filled from Shopify.
- Locations — pick which of your Shopify locations to enable. See Setting up your locations.
- Store hours — open days and hours per location.
- Delivery preparation — pick batch or just-in-time, plus prep time. See Batch vs Just-in-time.
- Delivery item types — flag whether you sell alcohol or nicotine.
- Billing — add a card. Trexity charges per delivery, no monthly fee. See Setting up billing.
The review step before you go live
When the checklist is done you’ll land on a review page. The “Run delivery test” button lets you preview exactly what your customers will see at checkout for a real address, without placing an order. When you’re happy, click “Go live” — that registers Trexity as a Shopify carrier and opens your dashboard.
After go-live: where things live
Day-to-day, two surfaces matter:
- The order details page. Every Trexity order has a Trexity panel showing live delivery status, a Print label button, and whichever action makes sense right now (Cancel, Put on hold, Skip batching, I need more time, etc.).
- The orders list. Trexity tags each order with its current
state (e.g.
TRX: Scheduled,TRX: Out for delivery) so you can filter and triage with Shopify’s native order search. See Order tags and delivery statuses.
The app’s own pages (Dashboard, Locations, Checkout settings, Zones, Billing, Profile) live in the side nav inside Shopify Admin.
