Setting up billing

Add a card, understand per-delivery charges, and download invoices.

Trexity charges per delivery. There is no monthly app subscription fee.

Adding your first payment method

Billing is the final step of onboarding. You’ll add a credit card through a secure Stripe form. Card data is handled by Stripe directly — the Trexity app never stores card numbers.

You can’t go live without a card on file. If you skip the billing step during setup, you’ll be prompted to complete it before the “Go live” button activates.

Managing payment methods later

Go to App → Billing.

You can:

  • Update the primary card (replace the brand, last four, or expiry).
  • Add a per-location card. Multi-location stores can route charges for specific stores to different cards. Locations without a per-location card fall back to the primary.
  • Download past invoices and receipt PDFs. Roughly the last year is available in-app by default.

How charging works

  • Authorization at delivery creation. When a delivery is created, Trexity authorizes the card for the quoted amount. This is a hold, not a settled charge.
  • Settlement daily, for completed deliveries. Trexity batches completed deliveries and settles charges daily.
  • Per-delivery pricing. Each delivery’s price depends on distance and service level. There is no fixed app fee.

Cards that decline or expire

If a card declines or expires, you’ll see a warning in the Billing area. Trexity does not automatically pause delivery service when this happens — you replace the card from the Billing area and deliveries continue.

Heads up. We’re working on auto-pause-on-decline. For now, watch the Billing area after any card change and after declines.

Multi-location: which card pays for what

  • If a location has its own card set, charges for that location’s deliveries go to that card.
  • Otherwise charges go to the primary card.
  • Billing area shows you which card is on which location at a glance, so you can spot a misconfigured fallback before it bites.

Common questions

“How do I get a refund for a delivery?” Delivery refunds and chargebacks are handled by Trexity support, not in the Shopify app. Email support@trexity.com with the order number.

“Is there a free trial?” Pricing is per delivery — there’s nothing to “trial” in the subscription sense. You only pay when you actually dispatch a delivery.

“Will I be charged if a delivery is cancelled?” A cancellation before the courier is dispatched usually carries no fee. Cancellations after a driver has accepted the job may carry a penalty per Trexity’s cancellation policy. See the cancel preview inside the app for the exact amount on each order.

“Where do I see invoices?” App → Billing → Invoices. Each row links to a downloadable PDF receipt.
