Setting up your locations

Enable stores, set hours and prep time, and manage multi-location pickups.

Trexity is multi-location from day one. Each store has its own schedule, hours, and pickup profile. This article covers what to do during setup and how to manage locations afterwards.

During onboarding

When you reach the Locations step, every active Shopify location is listed, grouped by region. Each address is checked against Trexity’s pickup zones.

  • Eligible — a Trexity courier can pick up from this address. You can enable the location.
  • Out of zone — Trexity does not have a pickup zone covering this address yet. You cannot enable it. The rest of your enabled locations are unaffected.
  • Already in Trexity — this address matches a location that already exists in your Trexity account. We link it for you; the toggle is locked so we don’t create a duplicate.

Pickup vs delivery. “Eligible” means we can pick up from your address. Whether we can deliver to any given customer address is a separate, per-customer check that happens at checkout. A location can be Eligible and still see “no Trexity option” at checkout for customers outside the delivery zone.

Toggle the locations you want enabled and continue. You can change this any time.

Managing locations after go-live

Go to App → Settings → Locations.

For each location you can:

  • Enable or disable the location.
  • Edit store hours per weekday (and per location’s timezone).
  • Edit batch slots if the location runs in batch mode (see Batch vs Just-in-time).
  • Edit prep time — how long you need between an order coming in and the package being ready.
  • Set pickup entrance / arrival instructions / courier notes per store.
  • Set a per-location payment method (optional — falls back to your primary card if not set).

What happens when you disable a location

  • Active deliveries already created continue normally. Disable doesn’t cancel anything in flight.
  • New Trexity quotes stop appearing at checkout for that location’s orders.
  • New Trexity deliveries stop being auto-created for orders assigned to that location.
  • Orders are not silently rerouted to another store. You decide what to do with them.

A note on Shopify Local Delivery

Shopify’s built-in Local Delivery feature has its own zone settings (managed in Shopify, not in Trexity). Disabling a Trexity location does not disable Shopify Local Delivery for that store. If you want to hide Local Delivery too, update Shopify’s settings separately. We’ll remind you of this on the disable-location screen.

Adding a new location later

Add the location in Shopify first. It will appear in App → Settings → Locations automatically, with its zone-eligibility already evaluated. Configure hours, prep time, and slots, then toggle it on.

Common questions

“Can a single order ship from two locations?” Yes. When Shopify splits an order across fulfillment locations, Trexity creates one delivery per location, each with the correct pickup mode and timing for that store.

“Why is my location marked Out of zone?” Trexity’s coverage map is geographic. If you think your address should be covered, double-check the address in Shopify (typos, missing unit numbers) and re-check. If it still shows Out of zone, contact support@trexity.com.

“Can I have different cards on different locations?” Yes. Set a primary card in Billing; then optionally set per-location cards from each location’s settings.
