Every Trexity delivery needs a printed label attached to the package. You can print one order at a time from the order details page, or several at once from the orders list.
Print one label
- Open the order in Shopify Admin.
- In the Trexity panel on the right (or bottom on small screens), click Print label.
- A PDF opens in a new tab. Print and attach to the package.
The button changes to Reprint label after the first print. You can reprint at any time.
Print labels in bulk
For batch operations:
- Go to Orders in Shopify Admin.
- (Optional) Filter by
TRX: Needs labelto find orders that haven’t been printed yet. - Select the orders you want to print.
- Click More actions → “Trexity: Print labels”.
- A preview modal opens showing each selected order’s status and whether the label is ready.
- Confirm. A combined PDF opens with all the labels — one print job.
The preview marks each row:
- Ready — label exists and can print.
- Already printed — toggle on the “include reprints” option to include these in the combined PDF.
- Not ready — the order isn’t yet at a state where Trexity has generated a label. Excluded automatically.
Why am I being asked to print a label?
Every order at a Trexity location needs a label between
“scheduled” and “the courier picks it up.” Until you print, the
order carries a TRX: Needs label tag in the orders list — a
visual reminder you can filter on.
What “needs label” really means
- Just-in-time orders: the order is scheduled automatically; the label is your only required action before the courier arrives.
- Batch orders: the label is generated when the batch is scheduled (or when you Skip batching). Print before the pickup window so the package is ready when the courier arrives.
What if I don’t print in time?
Trexity has a safety net: if the courier is assigned to your shipment before you’ve printed the label, the shipment is automatically put on hold so the courier doesn’t arrive at an unlabeled package. The hold lifts the moment you print.
You’ll see this as TRX: On hold in the orders list until you
print, then it returns to its normal status.
Reprinting
Click Reprint label any time on the order details page, or toggle “include reprints” in the bulk print modal. Reprinting doesn’t change the shipment state — it’s just a fresh PDF.
Common questions
“The label PDF didn’t open.” Your browser may have blocked the new-tab pop-up. Check the address bar for a blocked-popup icon and allow pop-ups for your Shopify Admin domain.
“The label looks blank / the wrong size.” Check your PDF reader’s print settings — scale should be 100% or Actual size, not “Fit to page.” The label is sized to fit standard 4×6 thermal stock; scaling distorts the barcode.
“Can I print to a thermal printer?” Yes. The PDF prints cleanly to any 4×6 thermal printer. Set your printer’s paper size and scale to 100%.
“I printed but the tag still says Needs label.” The tag updates as Trexity confirms the print. It can take a few seconds. If it persists more than a minute, open the order block — that forces a tag refresh.
